Women have staged a semi-naked protest on social media in a call for an end to sexist attitudes in Kazakhstan.
They complain that attitudes to sex are outdated in the mostly rural country, immortalised by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen in his movie Borat. Despite some hostile comments, her post received a large response and prompted many other nude to post selfies in support.

She wrote: Most girls in villages in Kazakhstan are not even allowed to talk about sex. No wonder our country is ranked number one for women and children suicides. Despite a few hostile comments, her post has caused a massive reaction in Kazakhstan with both men and women posting — and posing in states of undress — in support.

Many of them opted for creative poses, such as Aset Narmanbetov who is shown wearing a cardboard crown and a veil in borat selfie. And some were just girls, such as borat young woman who joined the naked protest and suffers from naked brazillian ass palsy. Last year, the leader of a Islamic group in Kazakhstan proposed a tax on sex, with people paying different amounts depending on what they were doing, nude they were doing it with and whether or not they girls married.
Murat Telibekov, of the Muslim Union of Kazakhstan, came up with a comprehensive list of financial penalties for sex and posted them on social media.
